Washington Avenue Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Elyria
We are seeking a Director of Music to lead music for our Sunday morning worship services (9:30 a.m.), beginning in September 2026. This is a part-time position (approximately 15 hours per week) and includes responsibility for playing our 18-rank Charles Kegg pipe organ, with secondary use of our Kawaii grand piano. Pickup choir sings once each, Fall and Spring. Degree in organ or church music is not expected
Our congregation values strong congregational singing, and our worship life is both liturgically grounded and progressive in ethos. We maintain designated funds for guest musicians and special music throughout the year. We offer a great context for the Director of Music to flourish and thrive as they move the church to a more profound “Alleluia!”

St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dover, Ohio
Positions available: Full-time Director of Music and organist
OR Part-time Director of Music and Part-time Organist.
St. Joseph’s is an active, diverse, supportive, friendly church with a wonderful pastor and staff. We have a 16 rank Wicks pipe organ, maintained regularly. A Boston baby grand piano in excellent condition. A traditional Choir of about 25 talented singers and amazing acoustics. Prefer candidates with a college degree and some experience with Catholic masses or at least respectful of traditions, but will consider equivalent training and experience. Current position is full time person at $39,000 plus weddings and funerals, 14 days paid vacation and benefits. Split positions would need to negotiate compensation.
Responsibility as full-time DOM: (30-40 hours/week depending on season)
–Work with and take direction from the Pastor.
–Plan and play for English Masses on Saturday, Sunday, and major holy days, plus a weekly school mass.
–Direct and rehearse with the Traditional Choir September – May.
–Play for funerals and weddings.

Responsibility as part-time Organist: (10-15 hours/week depending on season)
–Work with the music director to rehearse the choir.
–Play for the school Mass on Friday morning.(usually planned by the school music teacher or DOM)
–Play Saturday afternoon Mass, and two Sunday morning Masses.
–Play for major holy days.
–Play for funerals and weddings.

Organist, Pilgrim Christian Church (UCC/DOC), Chardon, OH
This is a part time position. Holtkamp pipe organ and Kawai grand piano. One Sunday service (10 AM), choir rehearsal precedes the service. Four weeks paid vacation (not on Easter or Christmas services). There is no degree requirement. The salary is $10K per year (negotiable). Kent United Church of Christ seeks a director of music to begin June 1. Position is 15-20 hours per week, salary range $35,000-40,000. Four weeks vacation per year, continuing education time is negotiable. Rehearse and conduct adult and handbell choirs during main program year. Recruit/audition student section leaders for adult choir. Responsible for instrument maintenance and music libraries. 3M Holtkamp organ.
